The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Busoga regional coordinator Mr Samuel Nabeta has joined State Minister for Housing and Bukono County MP Persis Namuganza to endorse and launch signature-collection campaign for Gen Muhoozi Kaineruga ‘s 2031 presidential bid, aiming to gather 20 million signatures. Businessman and insurance broker Tejas Patel has been granted bail today –October 16 by the Makindye Magistrate’s Court in a case in which he faces 15 counts of alleged aggravated human trafficking. The court set cash bail at Shs7 million and a non-cash bond of Shs100 million for each surety. Patel is barred from travelling outside Uganda, and his passport has been retained by the state as part of the conditions of his release. The anti-corruption tour by the Minister of Local Government, Hon. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi in Tororo District recently took a new twist, after former Tororo Municipality MP, Hon. Apollo Yeri Ofwono was implicated in over six corruption scandal cases by both leaders and residents.
